I’m a daughter of the King, and that makes me special. In other roles, I’m just a simple, ordinary small-town girl with a gramma face.
I’d like to introduce you first to my Father, because He’s awesome! What the world forgets is that He is sovereign and righteous, but also compassionate. His loves is beyond any we can imagine. I believe His Word is true and the only source of truth, and if you do too- then you can know the King! His word is love, the very beginning of love. He gave His only son so that I might live; instead of dying eternally- the penalty for sin. He gave this gift of life through grace. I don’t do anything to earn it. A Little About Me:
I was a late bloomer to writing, at first trying poetry, and then went on to publishing more than 50 magazine articles and a few newspaper features. I wrote for e-zines and poetry anthologies as well. I published the book “In His Shadow” in 2012
I care about small ministries that reach into tiny corners of the local world and shine a light. I hope that the ministry of my book can be such a light.
My heart is wrenched by the voices of women who are struggling to survive cancer, and for those who choose not to hope.
When my cancer journey began and progressed through the stages of discovery, anger, fear, acceptance, bitterness and regret – I lost my grip on my faith in the Lord. I let go of the security of His hand. I could not hear His voice, and would not listen in the stillness, or from His own written word. This was my condition when I began an open journal “In His Shadow”. It became the book(re-launching in 2017) meant to encourage, inspire and offer hope to others who’ve been on this journey.
Sisters in Christ, prayer warriors and sisters who bore the scars of our war lifted me up, grieved with me, encouraged me, mentored me, and reminded me what a great God we have.
I found hope through these sisters in my church, in support groups – both locally and on facebook, and from friends.
When I remembered what God has done for me – repeatedly over all the years- I reached out to grip His hand again. He kept me safe in His Shadow, sheltering me and abiding with me; waiting, and giving me peace.
It gives me no greater joy than to know a cancer warrior or survivor has been touched by anything I’ve written in my journal/journey back to faith and peace and hope.
Proverbs 3:5,6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.”
I’ve written (by God’s mercy and inspiration) on my way back to faith, restoration, peace and hope.
